NML/NTPC has been allocated with 7 coal blocks, namely, Pakri-Barwadih, Dulanga, Talaipalli, Chatti-Bariatu, Kerandari-A,Badam and North Dhadu(Eastern Part) by Government of India. Banhardih coal block, allocated earlier to Jharkhand State Government, is now being developed by M/s. Patratu Vidyut Utapadan Nigam Ltd. (PVUNL), a JV company incorporated between NTPC & Government of Jharkhand.
